Vascular Screenings
The greatest danger with undetected vascular disease is that the first sign of trouble could be a stroke, heart attack or aneurysm. So Clinch Valley Health is making a special offer to help you find out whether you’re at risk – before a potentially fatal symptom occurs. Clinch Valley Health offers a 30-minute, non-invasive vascular screening using ultrasound technology. This low-cost procedure does not require a physician referral. Results are available the same day as the screening and will be sent to your provider. This quick, non-invasive screening is a smart choice. Call 276.596.6185 to schedule your screening.
Three tests are performed
-
-
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Scan
- Carotid ultrasound.
- Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)
-
Are you at risk?
Take steps to living a longer, healthier life
You may not be aware you have vascular disease due to the lack of symptoms. Early detection and treatment is the key to reduce your risk for serious or even fatal conditions like stroke, heart attack or aneurysm.
Who should be screened?
Anyone over age 55 or anyone over age 40 who has multiple risk factors, including:
-
-
- Family history of heart disease or stroke
- History of smoking
- High blood pressure
- Overweight
- High stress levels
- Inactive lifestyle
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes
-
All three tests for $149
If you identify with one or more risk factors, you are also a candidate for a calcium scoring screening. For an additional $74, this test can detect potential heart problems in advance. The results allow your doctor to calculate your risk of heart attack and detect early blockage and plaque build up.
