Clinch Valley Health announced that Brian Stilwell has accepted the position of Human Resources Director following the retirement of John Knowles after 45 years of service. Brian is a familiar face here at Clinch Valley Health, he has been the Assistant Director of Human Resources for several years and has stepped into his new role seamlessly.

Stilwell has worked in human resources for eleven years. He began his career at Clinch Valley Health as an Emergency Department Team Leader for Patient Access. After that, he went into management for Community Home Care, a durable medical equipment company.  His next role took him to EMATS, Inc., an energy infrastructure company and then he came back to Clinch Valley Health's human resources department as a human resources generalist.  Most recently Stilwell served as the Assistant Director of Human Resources. 

Stilwell enjoys the field of human resources because it is constantly changing and improving. Stilwell says, "There is no greater feeling than helping an employee realize and reach their maximum potential. Being able to work with and impact these areas allows me the unique ability to assist with strengthening our team, organization, and culture her at Clinch Valley Health."

Outside of work Stilwell enjoys travelling with his family.  He is an avid history and political enthusiast and a huge University of Tennessee athletics fan.
