Welcome Dara Ratliff, FNP to Clinch Valley Oncology

Clinch Valley Health announced that Dara Ratliff, FNP has joined Clinch Valley Health’s team and will be serving patients at Clinch Valley Oncology.

“We are thrilled to add Dara to our oncology team” said Clinch Valley Health CEO Peter Mulkey. “Many people in the community will recognize Dara from her time working in our Infusion Center as a registered nurse. Her passion for healthcare and incredible ability to connect with her patients will certainly be a valuable addition to our team. We are excited to watch her grow and continue to provide high-quality care to the community.”

Dara has been a nurse for 25 years. Over the past five years, she has enjoyed the opportunity to provide compassionate care to oncology patients and their families as an oncology certified nurse. Her love for oncology care began as a teen and young adult while caring for her father as he battled leukemia. Little did she know that she too would experience cancer first-hand with her own diagnosis of breast cancer. She says, “These experiences have provided me unique insights into the needs of cancer patients, as well as their families.”

Dara’s ultimate career goal is to obtain certification as an oncology nurse practitioner. She looks forward to serving the hematology/oncology needs of Richlands and the surrounding communities of which she has been a member for over 30 years.

Dara specializes in blood cancers, chemotherapy & immunotherapy, genetic tumor testing, platelet abnormalities, solid organ cancers, long-term follow-up care, targeted therapy, and iron deficiency/metabolism.  She is accepting new patients and appointments can be made by calling 276.596.6695. Clinch Valley Oncology is located at 6719 Gov. G. C. Peery Highway, Richlands, Virginia. It is on the first floor in the medical office building behind Clinch Valley Medical Center.
