    The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) hosted an in-person workshop at its offices in Glen Allen, VA, facilitated by Joe Mull, CSP - Speaker, Author, Commitment Consultant. Joe Mull, a featured keynote speaker at the 2024 Virginia Healthcare Workforce Summit, led the workshop on the theme "Becoming a Destination Workplace: What Leaders Must Do to Find and Keep Devoted Employees." The workshop aimed to provide insights and strategies for healthcare leaders to create a workplace that attracts and retains dedicated employees. With healthcare workforce challenges becoming increasingly prevalent, the workshop addressed the importance of developing a workplace culture that fosters employee engagement and commitment.

  • Miraculous Outcome for Mother and Baby Thanks to Teamwork and Preparedness

    A code was called to OB/GYN at Clinch Valley Health when patient Courtney Thomas, a 36-week pregnant woman was rushed to the emergency department after suffering seizures and other medical complications. While preventing emergency situations altogether is the best-case scenario, the second-best scenario is recognizing an emergent situation and acting quickly - which is what happened with Clinch Valley Health medical team, ultimately saving two lives.
